Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry J. Enkhbayar presented the draft regulation titled “On Amendments to the Regulation” to Deputy Speaker of Parliament J. Bat-Erdene.
The proposed amendments include provisions granting authority to set customs duty rates, aiming to address the current challenging circumstances, maintain the supply of essential food products and animal feed, and implement urgent measures to prevent disruptions.
Additionally, the natural and climatic conditions in 2025, particularly the low rainfall and drought in the western region, have resulted in reduced yields of natural hay, grass, and fodder. Wheat planting and harvest are also expected to be lower than in previous years. Given these agricultural circumstances, the supply and delivery of wheat flour, animal feed, and additives have been interrupted in the area. As a result, the Cabinet meeting reviewed and endorsed this draft resolution.
